The Premium Aquascaping Detail Powder Dragon Stone is a very fine dragon stone powder that comes into its own precisely where classic hardscape building blocks reach their limits: at the finest transitions and details in aquascaping. It complements the GarnelenTv Detail Stones in the finest conceivable grit size and is specifically designed for detailed work in nano layouts and larger scape projects.
The main purpose of the Detail Powder is to conceal glue joints. Anyone who glues dragon stones and hardscape elements together in aquascaping knows the problem: at the connection points, the glue often becomes visible later as a light or shiny spot, disturbing the natural impression of the underwater landscape. With the Detail Powder Dragon Stone, you sprinkle the powder directly onto the fresh glue joint while gluing. It adheres, takes on the color and appearance of the surrounding dragon stone, and makes the glue joint virtually disappear visually.
Beyond glue joints, the powder is also a helpful tool. You can use it to create the finest transitions between hardscape and substrate, to make small cracks and crevices look natural, or to deliberately create weathered, aged areas on rock formations. Application recommendation: Apply your aquascaping glue as usual to the connection point of your hardscape elements. Let the glue cure completely and then carefully tap off any excess, unbonded dust. Already visible glue joints from old structures can be re-wetted with a little additional glue and also sprinkled with Detail Powder.
